50 Photos: Jamaica through My Lens

I’ve been trying to count my blessings more this year, as comparison is the thief of joy and I really have a lot for which to be grateful. Living on a tropical island is one of those things, as Jamaica is warm and blessed with an astonishing range of lovely landscapes– rolling green hills, deep valleys, lazy rivers, majestic waterfalls, lush tropical plants, alluring limestone caves and grottos,  breathtaking cliffs and precipices and of course, postcard-perfect beaches.

I literally have the opportunity to see views like this every single day of the week although, of course, the obligations of school, studying and regular daily life keep me indoors or trapped in the hustle and bustle of Kingston city life on most days. Nonetheless, in addition to being grateful for things like my health, a roof over my head, food, clothing, a family and the other supportive people with whom God has blessed my life, this regular opportunity to explore my island home is one of the things high up on my gratitude list. Here is photographic evidence of why: 50+ photos of Jamaica through my lens (or rather, through my camera-phone):

I hope you enjoyed some of my favourite photos around Jamaica thus far, attesting to the beauty and diversity of our landscape and the built environment. What things are you grateful for today? Let me know in the comments.
